Moedik Itinerary 2013 :p

Yeaaahh!! Lebaran will be coming friends *dancing*. As usual, I will go to my hubby's hometown at Pamengpeuk (if you don't know where Pamengpeuk is, don't look at the map. Because you can't find it there too :D). Pamengpeuk is really faaaarrr faaaarrr away from Jakarta *lebay mode on*. It's located on West Java. To go there we have to go to Bandung --> Garut --> through montains, tea plantations, winding roads--> Pamengpeuk. From Garut about 3 hours (if traffic is smooth). You can find beautiful tea plantations all over the roads, but you only see 1 scenery (tea plantation). No house, no sign, no light, through forest. But don't worry there are only 2 turns : Left and Right. Eventhough the trip is quiet "wild", but I always expect this "mudik". Eventhough I will be queasy with the trip (through mountain and winding roads), but I'm really exciting. First : I do love holiday *yeay*, 2nd : I love Sundanese Foods, 3rd : Meeting family, 4th : love the scenery, beautiful tea plantation, montains, Garut City, and the most of all Beaches. Yeaaah!! Pamengpeuk is surrounded by beaches. The beaches are very beautiful, with white sands, clean water, rocks, background, fisherman boats, etc. So, here is our itinerary :

We will start from 2nd day of Lebaran (1st day is there will be family gathering at my mother's house)
09.08.13 : from Jakarta - Bandung - Garut - Pamengpeuk
We will have a relaxation trip (have a lunch in Bandung or Garut), enjoy the trip.
We hopefully can start from Subuh (let's say 05.00)
10.08.13 : Pamengpeuk (beaches)
Enjoy beaches, meeting family, and buy baso (it's a must!)
Talk about baso or meat ball, this baso it's really delicious hm... with kuah yang kental hm...
11.08.13 : From Pamengpeuk - Bandung

12.08.13 : Back to Jakarta
end of journey :)

Bismillah, I hope everything will be smooth. No heavy traffic, no problem with the car, we are healthy, and off course no problem with money!. I hope we can enjoy the trip. How bout you? How is your mudik? :)

Amaroosa Hotel Bandung

My family was staying at Amaroosa Hotel on June 29. Hm.. it's been long time, I haven't got enough time and moment to write this review. But today, in this lovely Friday morning, after early breakfast for fasting, I wrote it. Overall, I like Amaroosa Hotel. It's not a big hotel, it's a small boutique hotel with no parking space, little swimming pool more like a fish pond, but very comfort room. First we will see lobby, small lobby with comfort sofas.



But there was no bell boy or anyone who helped us taking our bags to the room. After getting our cards as key to open room, we had to bring our bags to our rooms and no one showing us the way. Btw, since there was not enough parking space, so we had to use vallet parking service. Don't worry, it's free. But, just be patient waiting your cars came, because they had to take your cars. The room was really beautiful. The decoration was victorian style and comfort too. If you want to ironing your clothes, they also provide it.



This hotel also have swimming pool. It's decorated very natural. There's waterfalls, path with white sands and chairs.
But the swimming pool is quite small, it looked like fish pond. But we still had a great time. Kiddos as usually didn't want to quit.



At next morning, we had breakfast. The variety of breakfast was so so. There were somay, baso, jamu, salads, juices, fruits, spagetti, potato, nasi goreng, chicken,meat, vegetable, and bakeries. The taste was so so (IMO).



That's little story from our last vacation. I hope I have chance to review another hotel.

Family Gathering @Bandoeng

My father's birthday on May 15, 2013, Alhamdulillah he's 73 years now. I wish he always at his best condition, healthy and happy :) We celebrated his birthday on May 24 - 25, 2013 in Bandung. Thanks to my sister, he booked us hotel rooms at The Summit Siliwangi Hotel. It's nice hotel, located on hectic Jl. Seram (near Jl. Riau). We planned to go floating market Lembang, the new famous place in Bandung. We went from Jakarta from 7.30 morning time, but traffic jam along the way, so we arrived in Bandung 11.30. We canceled our plan to go to floating market, and our first stop was Bancakan. Bancakan is famous Sundanese Restaurant in Bandung, located on Jl. Trunojoyo no. 62 Bandung, next to Sambara Restaurant and about 300 meter from Gedung Sate.. As usual, the food was very delicious and always be crowded, there was long queue until front door. Alhamdulillah, we got the table. But, unfortunately the price was not so cheap like before. After our stomach were full, we went to the summit oasis hotel located on Jl. Seram (next to Hotel Anggrek Gandasari). It's a new hotel. The room is clean, spacious (compare to other hotel with same level). We rent 4 rooms. Thanks GOD, we already booked rooms days ago from Jakarta, because the hotel was full booked. After check-in, we played bubbles at hotel's garden. I also tried it :) Hehehe..

Around 4 o'clock we went to Jl. Riau, shopping sight seeing at the FOs. I only bought 1 t-shirt for my son. Before going back to hotel, we eat mee and meatball at Bakmi Semar - Naripan. That's all for 1st day.

2nd day, we started with breakfast at hotel. The breakfast is soo soo, with prasmanan style. They had kwetiau, chicken, fried rice, vegetables, fried potatoes, bubur for main course. They also had pastries, not many, small ones, milk for sereals, juice (syrup) and fruits (melon, papaya and watermelon). Around 9 o'clock we went to Cisangkeuy, kids were riding horses and delman. Lunch at Cisangkeuy, sate and drink yoghurt. Before going back to Jakarta, we stopped at Anak Kecil (FO for children). Around 2 o'clock we off to Jakarta. So, bye bye Bandung...

Alhamdulillah we had so much fun and also broke. My son can play with his cousins, we had chance to gather around with all family, my parents, sister and brother. I hope we still have chance to have family gathering again. Amin.

My Week-end Outfits

Here are some outfits that I wore on the week-end during my short holiday in Bandung :)

This is my outfit when I was dinner at Maja House
I wore red pants, with black cape and shirt. For hijab, I used glitter hijab.

This is my traveling outfit for enjoying Bandung at night :)
I wore aztec motive pants, black shirt with yellow top. I used pashmina for my neck to make me warm and also as an accent on my outfit. I wore turban, because it's very simple. Voila! I was so ready :D

Hotel Savoy Homann - Bandung

Another getaway to Bandung. This town is never bored me and I hope my son also love our week-end. That's why I asked my son :

Me : Abrar, did you have a great time in Bandung?
Abrar : Yes
Me : Do you like your holiday?
Abrar : Yes
Me : Do you love swimming and spend a week-end at the hotel?
Abrar : Yes

Alhamdulillah, my son's happiness means my happiness too :)

Why I choose Hotel Savoy Homann?

I love the architecture, design interior and the atmosphere of the hotel. It's classic, and well maintained. I hope this historical hotel is still maintained and operated eventhough many new modern hotels are growing in Bandung. Call me "kuno" but I like this classic hotel. I hope government give more attention to historical buildings. Amin

We went to Linggar Jati Restaurant by beca from hotel. The location is in the small aisle, at kumuh area. My mom, finally had chance to eat at this restaurant. This was a memorable restaurant for her, selling noddles.Every time she went to Bandung, she eat noodle here. But now the taste itself not good anymore and price.. OH MY GOD, for place like this, Half portion of special chicken noddle (IDR 34,000) and half portion of yameen (IDR 24,000). Total cost for 4 portions (each one is only half portion) IDR 134,000. We didn't order any drinks, only 2 teh botols and 1 avocado. Never again eat there anymore :(

Aston Tropicana Hotel - Cihampelas Bandung

Abrar, seneng banget nih, mau ke Bandung dan nginep di Aston Tropicana Hotel - Cihampelas Bandung.

Ini nih kamarnya :

Abrar sempet berenang, tapi cuma sebentar setengah jam aja :D airnya dingin banget, kayak di kulkas brrrrrr... berenangnya dilanjutin di kamar mandi kamar hotel aja :)

Oiya, selain kolam renang, hotel Aston Tropicana Cihampelas Bandung juga punya fasilitas lain, seperti ruang karaoke dan tempat fitness.

Intinya, kita seneng berlibur di Bandung, apalagi Abrar. Intinya, kalau melihat anak bahagia, orang tua juga ikut bahagia :D mudah2an ada kesempatan lagi untuk berlibur ke Bandung, menginap di hotel dan gratiss!!! hehehehe...

Hotel Mawar - Bandung

Hotel2 di Bandung, termasuk mahal. Apalagi kalau musim liburan seperti lebaran, ruarrr biasa mahalnya. Harganya bisa sampai 2x lipat dari hari biasa. Seperti biasa saya browsing2 hotel di i-net, begitu juga suami. Sampai suami saya info kalau dia liat di agoda ada hotel baru bernama hotel mawar. Saya langsung tertarik, dan booking hotel tersebut dengan harga IDR. 399,000 (dan sangat sedikit kecewa ketika saya cek di hotelnya langsung, harganya hanya IDR. 325rb untuk standar dan IDR. 350,000 untuk deluxe). Tapi untuk ukuran hotel di Bandung, pada saat peak season seperti ini, harga segitu cukup masuk akal. Apalagi hotel ini tidak memberlakukan harga di musim libur, peak season dan sebagainya. Harga hari biasa dengan hari libur sama saja. Mungkin karena dia baru buka pada Desember 2011 kemaren, jadi ini sebagai promosi juga buat dia.

Kebetulan saya mencoba 2 jenis kamar yang disediakan di hotel ini. Untuk standard room kami gunakan hari pertama saya sampai di Bandung. Sedangkan untuk deluxe room,kami gunakan ketika akan pulang ke Jakarta, yaitu setelah pulang dari Pamengpeuk (tujuan mudik suami). Perbedaan antara kedua jenis kamar ini adalah ukuran kamar. Untuk standar pastinya lebih kecil daripada deluxe. Tapi untuk fasilitas sama, kamar mandinya juga sama besarnya.

Kamar mandinya cukup representative, besarnya cukup, tidak terlalu kecil. Shower-nya juga enak, air panasnya langsung panas (meskipun pas hari terakhir, agak lama panasnya). Kamar mandi cukup bersih dengan interior yang sederhana namun manis.

Harga hotel sudah termasuk breakfast alias makan pagi. Untuk breakfastnya, lumayan banyak pilihannya (untuk hotel murah setaraf Hotel Mawar). Ada salad, juices, teh, kopi, bubur ayam, dan makanan utama (Nasi, sayur brokoli - wortel, ayam gulai putih dan rolade daging). Rasa-nya juga lumayan enak.

Jangan terkecoh dengan gambar ini. Ini baru ronde pertama, masih ada ronde kedua (bubur) dan ronde ketiga (Makanan berat) hohoho..

Overall, kami cukup puas dengan pelayanan, fasilitas yang ditawarkan oleh hotel Mawar. Dengan harga ekonomis, fasilitasnya cukup bagus. Cuma, untuk lampu penerangan di kamar tidak terlalu terang. Sebenarnya tidak masalah bagi saya, ketika saya mendapatkan kamar deluxe dengan kaca besar menghadap ke jalan. Ada cahaya tambahan dari luar. Namun, kamar dengan posisi seperti yang saya dapat itu terbatas. Selain itu, space parkirnya juga kurang :( Tapi jangan khawatir, ada vallet service yang siap membantu anda 24 jam. Seperti waktu saya check-out subuh, pegawai hotel mengambilkan mobil saya yang di-vallet parking.
